Largo, FL., May 8, 2018 – On the evening of May 3rd , Quest Vision Care Specialty Lab and Luxexcel hosted a fun and light, but educational opening reception for the attendees of Ocuco’s “Innovations Labzilla user group meeting”. The event kicked off Ocuco‘s annual two-day seminar located at the Sheraton on Clearwater Beach, Florida filled with training workshops and previews of new products. The reception, located at Quest Specialty Lab facility, began with an opening lecture from Guido Groet, the Chief Commercial Officer of Luxexcel, who presented their one of a kind Luxexcel VisionPlatform™ consisting of an industrial grade optical 3D printer, lens-design software, and workflow integration tools. Mr. Groet outlined the growth and development of the platform since its inception in 2009 highlighting the latest capabilities of the technology.
Following the Luxexcel presentation, attendees were invited to visit both production labs where they were given a demonstration of the 3D printer as well as a tour of the Quest Vision Care Specialty Lab. Both labs created a beautiful showcase of their work for attendees to exam the exclusive 3D printed lenses as well as the unique work Quest has been perfecting for years. Participants were given a first-hand view of the type of equipment Quest lab utilizes as well as their unparalleled production capabilities. The evening was culminated with a hors d’oeuvres buffet of varied salads, exotic cheeses, and artisan sandwiches as well as mixed drinks.
Michael Walach, President & Founder of Quest Vision Care Specialty Lab was ecstatic with the attendance and the feedback they had received. He said that “this is the first time we have ever hosted an event like this, but based upon the response of all of the lovely industry professionals who attended we are hoping to make this a permanent addition to Ocuco’s Innovations user group meeting.”
